Live bee removal franchise announces launch of Solihull Redditch branch

PRESS RELEASE

PGH Beegone, the pest control and live bee removal franchise, is ready to launch its second franchisee, who will run his own business covering Solihull, Redditch and the surrounding areas.

This can only spell good news for Britain’s bees, whose welfare is in the media spotlight at present.

The core business brands which combine to form the franchise offering (PGH Pest Prevention and Beegone Live Bee Removal) were started in 2008 by Peter Higgs when he identified a need for safe and ethical extraction of live honeybees from hard-to-reach areas such as wall cavities and chimneys.

Peter even got to show honeybees saved by Beegone to HRH The Queen back in 2016.

Formally a business owner in the hospitality industry, new franchisee Louchlan Deeming felt in need of a change and a financial investment to make him a retirement nest egg:

“I looked at a lot of franchise business options, about 20 in total, but what really attracted me to PGH Beegone was the passion of its people, you can tell from Peter’s body language that he absolutely loves what he does.

"It was great to meet existing franchisee David too and get his perspective on the benefits of the franchise. Their approach to pest control, that the animal doesn’t suffer and saving bees, is also very important.”

Louchlan continued: “I’ve got big plans for my business, I want to employ a technician within the next 12-18 months. In five years I’d like to have two or three vans on the road and I want to buy more areas – in 10 years’ time ideally I’d be covering the whole Midlands area.”

MD and Owner of PGH Beegone, Peter Higgs said: “We’re delighted to have Locky on board, his training is going really well – he’s a fast learner and extremely ambitious. I just know that, following our proven formula, he’s going to be super successful.”
