PRESS RELEASE

A new generation of remote fly monitoring will be showcased at PestEx 2026, as PestWest introduces the flyDetect X on Stand 6.

flyDetectXlaunchesatPestEx2026

Built on the award-winning patented design of the original flyDetect, the flyDetect X is a 24/7 remote fly monitoring system designed to combine proven capture performance with advanced digital surveillance. The system operates without software subscription fees and uses Quantum® X LED tubes.

Energy efficient and low maintenance

The flyDetect X uses mercury-free Quantum® X LED tubes that require replacement only every three years. The unit consumes less than half the power of the previous fluorescent model, helping to reduce energy use, ongoing maintenance and overall running costs.

Centralised monitoring across multiple sites

Users can access high-resolution images of the entire sticky board on demand, with multi-site visibility available through a single dashboard. Real-time alerts allow pest management professionals to monitor activity across their portfolio without repeated site visits.

Compliance support built in

The system also provides scheduled notifications for Quantum® X LED tube and sticky board replacements. This supports timely maintenance while creating a clear, auditable record to demonstrate compliance with safety and environmental health standards.

By combining energy-efficient technology with smart monitoring and real-time data, the flyDetect X is positioned as a practical remote surveillance solution for flying insect control.
