Rosina is a familiar face in Westminster and the devolved nations, having spent two decades steering policy and public affairs campaigns for membership organisations including the Federation of Small Businesses and the National Hair & Beauty Federation.

She has helped to secure legislative change on issues as diverse as the Bribery Act guidance and safety licensing for aesthetic procedures.

Chris Cagienard, BPCA President, welcomed the appointment:

We’re absolutely thrilled that Rosina is joining us. Her track record of influencing ministers and regulators is second to none, and that lobbying expertise will be vital as we work to protect the pest management toolkit our members rely on every day.

Rosina’s CV also includes senior roles at the Russell Group of Universities and Producers Alliance for Cinema and TV (PACT), where she worked to unlock tax reliefs worth £500 million for children’s television.

Alongside her executive career, she has served as a non‑executive director for several not‑for‑profits including the governing body of an outstanding London primary school for over a decade, of which four years as Chair.

A member‑first agenda

BPCA’s Executive Board tasked its recruitment working group with finding a leader who could sharpen the Association’s voice with government while expanding services that help pest professionals thrive.

Rosina said:

“I am honoured to be joining the BPCA as its Chief Executive. BPCA is widely respected for its essential work in promoting professional pest management, whilst protecting public health and the environment.

“I look forward to working with the Association’s committed team to advance its leadership in driving sector standards for the benefit of its members and the wider public in line with its founding principles.”

Continuity and fresh energy

The staff team and Board have a comprehensive induction planned for Rosina, including meeting with members and stakeholders, and of course, completing her BPCA/RSPH Level 2 Award in Pest Management this summer.

Rosina and the rest of the BPCA team will continue work on the Association’s strategic plan, focusing on representing the sector, supporting members, and assuring the general public they’re in safe hands when choosing a BPCA member.

MEET THE EXECS

Catch a full interview with Rosina in the next issue of PPC magazine, and keep an eye on the BPCA website—members will soon be able to register for a special “Meet the Exec Team” member meeting.
