PestFix warns of disruption to pest control supplies

PRESS RELEASE

PestFix warns customers to plan their pest proofing jobs early due to global supply disruptions from the Red Sea Crisis.

80% of container fleets have been sent on longer journeys than normal. The risk of attack in the Red Sea has meant that the majority of container ships have been unable to access the Suez Canal and are being diverted around the Cape of Hope and up the west side of Africa.

This change of route adds approximately 10-14 days to the voyage.

Francis Medley, Supply Chain and Procurement Manager, commented:

"We know that some of our containers have been rerouted to avoid the dangers of the ongoing conflict in the Middle East. We plan PestFix manufacture with degrees of tolerance, so while we don't think this will have an impact on our stock levels we do advise our customers to plan their pest proofing jobs early.

"Particularly with large bird netting projects, you'll already be having discussions about installing before the nesting season begins. Think about getting installations completed earlier or the materials ordered well in advance of the project start date.

As always, pests are ignorant of global events and their calendar continues. Pest management professionals would be wise to have plans in place should there be delays in product availability.

With this being a global issue, PestFix's recommendations aren't just specifically for pest control products, but anything your business relies upon to run smoothly.

Jessica De Vizia, Account Manager, added:

"We pride ourselves in providing superior customer service and support. If you are struggling to source an item because of these issues, then get in touch with us.

"We aren't limited to our 'catalogue', we have a vast supply chain network and our customers know that if they need 50 left-handed thingamajigs for their job, we'll do our best to get you them."

WHO YA GONNA CALL?

If you're having supply issues or you're worried about orders being fulfilled in the future, speak to your pest control product suppliers as soon as possible.
