Under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, everyone is responsible for the health and safety of themselves and everyone around them whilst at work.

To ensure safety, we need to understand what we are responsible for and what others do to maintain our safety.

Overview

This one day course will consider hazards and risks and how to spot these and determine best controls to prevent accidents. You'll also learn what you must do in the event of an accident.

During the Level 2 Award in Health and Safety programme, you will learn:

1. Introduction to Health and Safety at Work
2. Roles and responsibilities of employers and employees
3. Consequences of not adhering to health and safety legislation
4. Recognising risks and hazards
5. Risk Assessments
6. Risk control hierarchy
7. Accidents and incidents
8. Records

This qualification is awarded by HABC.

Classroom Delivery

Classroom programme

This is a one day, classroom-based programme with an exam at the end of the day.

9.00 am for coffee, 9.30 am start, 4.30 pm finish.

Assessments

At the end of the programme, you will take a 1 hour, 30 question multi-choice exam.


If you are sucessful in your exam, you will receive the HABC Level 2 Award in Health and Safety.
